Expansion Invite January 2015
May 2015 - Work continues for the two new classrooms on the junior end of the school and children and staff were all given the opportunity to sign the framework and make some history – pictures can be seen in the gallery. The new entrance and KS2 gate is in progress and fixtures and fittings for the new classrooms have been chosen. Moves within school have been scheduled and will be taking place over the summer holidays so that the next stage of the expansion can be started. Come back soon for another update…
September 2015 - We moved into our new classrooms to start the 2015-16 academic year. All staff worked hard to set up the classrooms and display areas at the end of the summer holidays following the internal painting which took place. School is looking clean and bright and we now have a larger staffroom at the heart of the school. The office has moved ready for Stage 2 of the project and can now be found at the far end of the Infant corridor with access via the KS1 entrance.
November 2015 - We had a steel framing ceremony this month to mark Stage 2. Teachers, children and parents took part in the signing along with Cllr Tony Jones. This phase will see a new six class block built which will eventually house Year 5 and 6 and a new main entrance to the school.
April 2016 – The new office is complete and the admin team are moving in over Half Term. From Term 5 onwards access to the office team will be via our new entrance in our original car park. We look forward to seeing you all.
July 2016 - The final stage has been completed and we are ready to move into our new area of the school. Year 5 will be in the upstairs classrooms – with an amazing view! Year 6 will be downstairs near the new Library area, books will be filling the shelves very soon. Time for our last big move in readiness to welcome you all back in September.
Thank you to everyone for your patience and support during this time, especially to our local residents who have suffered from high volumes of works traffic, parking issues and the inconvenience of living near a building site.
